Ozondah

In April 1832, the Lord instructed Newel K. Whitney to retain responsibility for the "Ozondah," which was the mercantile establishment in Kirtland (D&C 104:39-41; pre-1981 edition). The use of the word Ozondah was a precautionary measure which the Lord occasionally employed to prevent enemies of the Church from knowing what his purposes were (HC 1:255). The term Ozondah is found only within this revelation.
